Lehecka Captures Adelaide International Title; Tabilo Wins Maiden Crown in Auckland

ADELAIDE INTERNATIONAL—Adelaide, Australia

No. 7 seed Jiri Lehecka won his maiden ATP Tour title on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia, defeating Jack Draper 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

In a match that lasted two hours and eight minutes, Lehecka struck eight aces, won 75 percent of his first serve points and hit 34 aces in total.

Overcoming the loss of the first set, Lehecka will improve his ranking to No. 23 in the world on Monday.

Draper, who was playing in his second career final, defeated top seed Tommy Paul and No. 8 seed Alexander Bublik earlier in the event.

The 22-year-old will move up to No. 55 in world on Monday.

ASB CLASSIC—Auckland, New Zealand

Chilian star Alejandro Tabilo won his first-career ATP Tour title on Saturday in Auckland, New Zealand, dispatching Taro Daniel 6-2, 7-5.

Using his lefty serve and forehand to great effect, Tabilo hit 10 aces, broke serve on three occasions and added 37 winners to his one hour and 37 minute victory.

Improving his ranking to a career-high of No. 49 in the world on Monday, Tabilo will next see action at the Australian Open.

Daniel, who was aiming to win his second-career title, defeated top seed Ben Shelton in the semifinals.
